Bellamy: Fans can ‘carry’ Liverpool all the way to glory

Craig Bellamy believes the Liverpool supporters can “carry” their team all the way to Champions League glory.
The Reds overcame Manchester City 3-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash in a red-hot atmosphere.
There was trouble before the match as the City team bus was pelted with missiles ahead of kick-off, scenes that Liverpool have apologised for.
However, remarking on the atmosphere inside the stadium, Bellamy is sure their “special” fanbase can get the most out of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
“Anfield is a special case, especially in the Champions League,” he told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“We were lucky enough to get to the latter stages, we got the the final one year when I was there.
“The fans can carry you through the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, all the way.
“I remember they even had the stadium rocking for a League Cup semi-final.
“They’re incredible. They know they’ve got the experience to pull their team through.
“They’re there from the warm up so as soon as you go out the stadium’s full – they’re ready.”
