Guy wakes up to a strange noise, finds eight lynxes chilling on his porch

Tim Newton when he woke up one morning. He lives in Alaska on the border of a large nature area so he gets to see all sorts of wildlife from his front door. Balenciaga just sent platform Crocs down the runway, so style is officially dead But what he’s not so familiar with is having whole families of lynx set up shop on his porch. He heard a funny noise coming from outside and stumbled out of bed to take a look.

And there, right in front of him on his porch, was a lynx…and her seven kittens. Lynx are typically elusive creatures, and Tim’s only seen them a few times in the wild – so the fact that a pack of them were actually on his property was too good an opportunity for a photographer to miss.
He ran back in to grab his camera and came back out to snap the kittens at play – and they were caught up in scrapping, they didn’t even notice he was there. ‘She called to them and they all lined up right outside in front of where he was standing (he was inside the screen door!),’ writes Tim. ‘Amazing ALASKA WILD LIFE!!! They proceeded to run and play on our deck, and then in our yard!

‘I’ve concluded that lynx must spend 1% of their waking lives chasing rabbits, and 99% chasing their kids. It was pretty much non-stop frolicking and rough-housing.’
